Terrestrial and Aquatic Ecology
Our terrestrial and aquatic scientists bring their extensive knowledge and understanding of the physical and biological characteristics and processes of terrestrial and aquatic environments within Papua New Guinea and Australia. Our network of specialists throughout the Asia Pacific provide robust and fit-for-purpose solutions to the oil and gas, mining, energy, ports, marine infrastructure, dredging and renewables sectors.
ERIAS has in-country capability within PNG and Australia to undertake terrestrial biodiversity surveys, including:
- Terrestrial flora and fauna surveys
- Threatened species surveys
- Vegetation condition assessments
- Flora and fauna monitoring
- Vegetation and habitat mapping
Our freshwater services include:
- Water and sediment quality assessments
- Aquatic flora and fauna surveys
- Aquatic habitat assessment and characterisation
- Stream gauging, monitoring and hydrological assessments
